VARIATIONS
… And here are a few of the first variations inspired by the theme of this research…
On the right, The Laughing Venus
Using the same body, I inclined towards recreating an adolescent whose head was in proportion to her real height and that corresponded to her youth.
I then softened the curves on her stomach, arraying the plump nymph in the voluptuousness of a Renoir.
For good measure I slightly reduced her feet.
Finally, imagining a little model’s shy attitude of posing nude, I made her fanciful arms, of course unrelated to what a reconstitution of them on the the original Venus could be like.
